What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Emotional Intelligence

Communication Skills

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

The training materials had everything I needed to deliver the course. I usually prepare all of my own material, but decided that it was time “outsource” this, as it just takes too much time to do everything on my own.

Because you have given me the right to edit the material according to the needs of my clients, and because the material is so well designed and prepared, I found it extremely easy to use and your materials literally saved me “days” of work.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The participants loved the course and I received very high scores on the course evaluation after we were finished. This was a two-day course, so I combined parts of the Communication Skills materials and the Emotional Intelligence Skills materials.

I received comments on the practical value of the course, and the materials, which really was a big relief, because even though I personally felt the materials you provided were excellent, I wasn’t sure how the trainees would react to the material, but they thought the training materials were excellent.

Of course, the trainer’s skills are very important, but without high quality and well-researched material, training will not be successful.

Which exercises were most effective?

One of the most effective exercises that I used was from the Emotional Intelligence materials where the trainees are asked to “Consider a situation from the past that you experienced an Emotional Hijack.” The trainees are asked to answer a number of questions, such as: “What happened”, “Why did you behave that way”, “What were the consequences”, etc.

This was an extremely effective exercise for a couple of reasons:

1) The trainees were able to openly talk about their own “Emotional Hijacks” and I found that they were not embarrassed to do so. They felt that this was very helpful to them, as being so open and honest with the rest of their peers/colleagues was a great aid in being able to also get help from each other to improve their “Self-Management” skills.

2) This exercise also helped the trainees to stop and think about why they reacted the way they did in a particular situation. This is the first step in being able to make improvement related to an individual’s EQ. This was a great exercise and we all enjoyed it.

Other comments

I would love it if you could also provide your training materials in Microsoft Publisher format besides Word format.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Time Management & Emotional Intelligence training programs. We used PPT files and as well as workbooks with activities, etc.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Very easy and very flexible for the participants, we were able to link and customize the content with specific requirements of our audience. The program content carries many examples and real life case studies to support the entire learning process.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The program was very easy to relate to for participants and every topic was simple, yet very effective. Participants really enjoyed the supporting activities. We conducted many repeat batches and ever batch was equally satisfied.

Which exercises were most effective?

Exercise - Interruption Cycle, Emotional Intelligence - six needs scenario making. Case studies based on manager and subordinate interactions were really appreciated by our participants. In fact, all actives that accompany the source materials are really a great support to trainers.

Other comments

The program content is well designed and well connected with real life scenarios using activities. A request would be to add a few videos to the content to make it further more powerful.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

NLP core skills 1 day training programme.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

It was very easy to customise according to what I want to achieve as learning outcome for the target audience as the materials were well researched and structured. It was easy to understand and save a lot of time. With sufficient skill it was simple to deliver the course successfully. The course was marketed as a one day intensive workshop to cover the essential NLP skills. The selected topics were five channels, beliefs converting negative mentality to positives with exercises to do, usage of language patterns, rapport building, anchoring, controlling inner self talk, smart goal setting with time line techniques, use of empathic communications and habit formations. Each of these major topics was followed by relevant exercises to put to practice by participants during training. Also a couple of exercises were provided for participants to continue to practice after training as a means of habit formation. With Skills Converged materials and my areas of expertise on this subject I was able to merge the materials into a customised way to deliver what can be easily be used at any time at anywhere with any situation.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The participants found the knowledge and skills learnt were practical and useful for their working and personal life. The exercises were engaging. The participants shared their personal experiences which was also an eye opener to the rest of the fellow participants. Topics like language pattern was something participants found it as a feedback that was overlooked and unaware of the power of it.

Rapport building became much clearly how it can be easily used at any time to anyone. Limiting was a self-reflection by participants and it helps to reframe the mind by using the NLP way of rephrasing the words using the positive mentality mind set. Anchoring is another area the participants found they now have a tool to change their moods. The inner self gave the participants how to control the voice and use dialogue to overcome negativity. The channels were the fundamentals and gave a good starts to all the NLP tools and techniques for the intensive one day workshop.

The course evaluation rating was very favourable: Average Rating 4.5 out of 5 score.

Which exercises were most effective?

E14 limiting barriers to achievements

It helps the participants to state a goal and with the score it helps them create new ideas and thoughts to get them what they desire to achieve and also to re-evaluate their low score as to what to do to correct it.

E16 NLP timeline technique

As this exercise was sensitive when paired participant was shown how to use the smart goal and given some time to write and clarify with the trainer (me) if needed help. However participants were advised to do after the course too.

E118 persuade by words

This was a good exercise to help participants receive feedback on how their language pattern can make a difference to a desire outcome by using suitable choice of words to the listener or the ones he or she intends to persuade.

E119 dealing with inner voice

Context and content reframing was taught to help deal with inner self-talk especially the negative ones that stirred the emotions and moods of the individual’s. This was given to participants to construct their inner voice positive on a thought that was bothering them currently.

All these relevant exercises have good impact for most participants as it was a skill that needed to be practiced and in this course the opportunities were provided in a safe environment with feedback.

Other comments

I have found most of the Skill Converged courses very relevant training materials and easy to use. The duration is just an estimate but the trainer will know how to package the duration of the course base on the level of target audience he or she is trying to market to.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Training materials provided for the influencing workshop.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Very easy. It was very clear what each file was and very easy for me to tailor the training to meet my workshops requirements so that I was presenting something that felt very specific to the attendees of the course.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The feedback I received was brilliant. They all fed back that they enjoyed the course, understood the content very well and felt they could apply its learnings in real life. Time will tell and we will see with my next follow up session with them, how they have been able to apply the learning.

Which exercises were most effective?

To be honest they were all effective, however this was the area that I had to do the most with your material to get the exercises to work properly. The training material you provided required a lot of flashcards to be made by myself. It would have been great if the flashcard images and text had been provided in a format that meant I could have just printed them off and laminated them. Instead whilst your material told me what to put on the flash card, I effectively had to design them myself.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Communication Skills

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

It was very easy. I had already delivered similar training before but did not have the participant materials developed in enough depth so it was easy to take the Skills Converged materials and use it for the basis of the participant hand out. As well the slides were simple to drop in and use - I liked the brightness that they added, really helped to improve the basics that I had.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

Participants enjoyed the training a lot and have been using many of the skills back in their respective sites. I have worked with their managers already so they now have additional skills to both understand where their managers are coming from but also modify their personal behavior for better success. They have advised that they are feeling more supportive and now have different language to use to improve the situations.

Which exercises were most effective?

The two that were most effective for this class were

1 The Johari Window - while difficult to understand, it is very effective when people take it seriously. This group really enjoyed it and found it fascinating to really delve deeper into the topic.

2. The “Share with Me” and it went over well.

Other comments

Your customer service is excellent! Any time I have had a question, it has been answered or dealt with promptly. Also the quality of your materials is fantastic, especially given the price. I have purchased from you once and am ready to purchase again. I know that I will come back after that as well!

Thank you for your excellent client experience!

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Anger Management

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

The material is well packaged and was relatively easy to use in our training sessions.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The training course had a huge positive impact on our trainee delegates and said it was delivered at the right time.

Which exercises were most effective?

In all fairness most of them were effective but I would have more role plays.

Other comments

In Botswana the emphasis is on vocational skills development, I think more role plays, demonstrations will do. I think the time frame for me will be to rush over things. I therefore suggest 3-5 days. Most of our clients and stakeholders and ourselves would appreciate a timetable (including time needed cover certain aspects) for all the topics, e.g. Introductions 0800-0810hrs, 0810-0910, etc.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

We have already used: Assertiveness Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Negotiation Skills, Presentation Skills, Train the Trainer Delivery Skills, etc.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Skills Converged materials are very comprehensive and easy to use, when you are good at English. As we come from non-English speaking country we have to translate all the materials first. Once that’s done the materials are easy to use for us too.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

We have used several training materials and all have been of high quality. Most outstanding experience was the one with a smaller group of IT specialists from Sandoz. We did Train the Trainer program for them and they were more than satisfied with the training. Of course, it’s important that the trainer knows the field and that his performance is correct, but also the materials play a significant role. Our group of specialists came there with high expectations which were met with quality materials as well.

Which exercises were most effective?

The exercises provided with the materials are useful as well as the free exercises that are simply downloadable. Sometimes we use our own exercises or alter the ones we get. What’s important is that looking at the Skills Converged exercises we get our own ideas of how to follow the goals of the trainings.

Other comments

One of the most significant advantages of Skills Converged materials is that they offer a complete package of everything that trainers need to prepare and conduct a good training. And even more important, the materials are professional and of high credibility.

Body language

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Super easy. The Images look wonderful, and you get very precise instructions for each and every slide it also covers up many situations to study body language I’m thinking of purchasing the second body language workshop to expand possibilities and fit many kinds of customers

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The impact was very professional and thorough workshop that gave my participants both knowledge and actual experience to better work with their bodies and expand their awareness to other’s body language as well.

Which exercises were most effective?

I used my own exercises from my acting experience I find most of the suggested exercise to be too verbal and less physical and I think that in this kind of material one should understand by experiencing things with their own bodies.

Other comments

I would add some more exercises. In general, have them experience with their body how it feels to stand up with confidence, or lack of it, how to be open or closed, etc. I would also add the usage of a camera, picture the participants and show them their own body language during the workshop.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Very easy. Thanks a lot for good materials & unfortunately, I have to translate all of them into Russian language. However, it gives more structured approach than I used before.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

I started to use only some parts, because now I am translating materials & but what I see already now, people like that we use very focus approach to train the feedback which is very important tool for people development but not very well used by Russian managers.

Which exercises were most effective?

I like some of your exercises which I used before; for example the exercise: P4 - on non-verbal communication. Very good exercise when exactly the same dialog seems different because 2 different colleagues got different instructions. Last time I did this exercise in the group of financial department. We spoke about internal customer and why relations are not very positive sometimes. This exercise showed the reason. These people did not demonstrate positive attitude to the internal customer and as a result they got negative reaction back.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

The courses are very well organized. The training materials are easy interesting and very simple to apply. Perhaps the layout may be in some way repetitive, similar. The most difficult is the translation to Portuguese that takes too long.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

“Body language” it was the most enthusiastic course. The trainees appreciate the good materials delivered. They like the organization, the continuous interaction and the impact of the exercises.

Exercises create a good evolvement with all of them. The quality, the efficient and the efficacy of the courses, are also some of the things participants refer.

Which exercises were most effective?

Exercises that involve body movements are the most appreciate among them. Team work exercises create other dynamic and has impact in the success of the training. Roleplaying is also most effective. Outdoor exercises, when it is possible outside the room, creates another environment.

What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

I had to deliver a training session scheduled for two hours at the annual meeting of sheriffs in our region. About 70 sheriffs attended. I had to select from and condensed the material to fit into the 2 hour session. Your material helped me tremendously to achieve exactly that.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

Even though I am not a sheriff, I could contextualise the content to address certain issues that sheriffs experience in their daily routines. The presentation was received very positively, so much so that I am invited to address the group again this year on the topic “Stress Management”.

As this is an annual once-off event and sheriffs are scattered over a large area in the region, I could not establish the exact impact on their practical experience.

Which exercises were most effective?

Given the limited time allocated for the presentation, no exercises were presented.

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

The training materials are good, but we have noticed that there are some repeated subjects in the training materials for example in sales training materials & communication skills course, the body language subject is repeated. So please consider to minimize the repeated subject in the courses, maybe the names can be the same but the content should be different even a little bit.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The impact was great, and the strong points was the logical sequence of the outlines, also the participants were satisfied because of the training games.

Important: one of your competitive advantage is your power-point slides which has variety in each slide and each of diagrams that makes the training more effective, and if you compare some the slides of some of your competitors, they don’t have the same advertising, their slide is full of text without images or diagrams. What Skills Converged training materials did you use in your training?

Emotional Intelligence 1 day course

How easy was it to use the training materials and deliver the course?

Very easy. The content is well presented and logically sequenced. Because of the customisable nature of the courseware I was able to modify and adapt key parts of the materials to closely meet my client’s training needs.

What was the impact of the course on the participants?

The materials gave participants some useful thinking tools which allowed them to reflect on, and analyse their current work relationships in terms of emotional intelligence. The scenarios and exercises I used in the course also provided a bridge which helped them relate the concepts back to real, concrete situations.

Which exercises were most effective?

The content and exercises around negative listener types was very effective. Also the exercises relating to self-management, specifically the “Angry Moments” self-reflection exercise, stimulated some very useful discussion and a few good “aha” moments.
